Happy New Year!

January is the time that everyone typically makes resolutions, sets goals, and thinks about what they want from the upcoming year.  Are you?  Even if you take a few minutes to informally formulate a vision for the year, you’ll be better off than doing nothing at all.  That’s because what we focus on grows.

Today is Jan. 6, the Catholic Feast of Epiphany–a perfect time to share my artwork from December:

Epiphany is about those storied magi traveling days and days through the desert, being guided by a bright star.  Surely there were deviations in their route, either sand dunes to go around, or other obstacles, but they were able to look at the star and correct their course.  They stayed true to the goal (the star) and found Jesus in Bethlehem.

The goals you set, the vision you imagine, those are your star.  Thinking purposefully about what you want to manifest in 2017 will help you be able to redirect and refocus as the year goes on.  Even if you don’t accomplish all (or any) of the goal, at least you were on a path.

What do you think?
