This started with my Grandmother Rosel’s teapot, the one that she and her friend Katie would meet over every day for their afternoon Kate-klatsch. I molded the teapot with rice paper and then went to the thrift store looking for appropriate books.

Found three treasures! The London Ritz Book of Afternoon Tea (became the tea tray), Hugs from Friends Vol. 2 (the teapot), and Random Acts of Kindness (the cup and saucer).

All three of these books and the ideas they contain sum up my Oma perfectly. She definitely felt that she had a charmed life. It was simple, and lovely! She was totally content and fulfilled with her friends and family. I want to always be inspired by her.
