Spring is the season of renewal.
I made this nest last year and have been waiting for the inspiration of what to do with it.
I had considered creating a branch from wire and then covering it with the book paper, but then discovered a beautiful dead branch in the yard that was just perfect. The branch was actually quite brittle, and it was amazing to watch it gain strength as the book paper was applied.
This is growth, destruction, decay and reconstruction at its best.
My favorite spring blossom is the Dogwood, which inspired the flowers for a pop of color.
Book, tree branch, wire, acrylic paint, acid-free glue
